This Refund and Return Policy (“Policy”) outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds and returns are accepted for purchases made on our ecommerce platform. This Policy is designed to comply with South African consumer protection laws, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA). This Policy applies to both physical print media and drop-shipped camping and outdoor gear. By making a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy.

2. Digital Media Products

Due to the nature of digital media products (e.g., guides, travel aids), all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for digital products once the purchase has been completed and the digital product has been delivered.

3. Physical Media Products

For physical print media products, such as guides and travel aids, you may request a return or refund under the following conditions:

  • Defective Products: If the physical product is defective or not as described, you may return it within 7 days from the date of receipt. We will offer a replacement or refund upon verification of the defect.
  • Incorrect Products: If you receive a product that differs from what you ordered, please notify us within 7 days of receipt. We will arrange for the return of the incorrect product and provide the correct item or a refund if the item is no longer available.
  • Returns Process: To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at info@saltn.co.za with your order number, details of the issue, and any relevant photos. You will receive instructions on how to return the product.

4. Drop Shipping Products

For drop shipped camping and outdoor gear, the following terms apply:

  • Returns and Exchanges: If the drop-shipped product is defective, damaged, or incorrect, you may return it within 7 days of receipt. Contact us at info@saltn.co.za to arrange the return. The item must be returned in its original packaging and condition.
  • Refunds: Refunds for drop-shipped items will be processed after we receive and inspect the returned item. The refund will cover the cost of the product but not any shipping charges incurred.

5. Non-Refundable Items

  • Digital Media: As specified above, digital media purchases are non-refundable.
  • Custom Orders: Items that have been customized or personalized cannot be returned or refunded unless defective.

6. Refund Process

  • Verification: Once we receive the returned product, we will inspect it to determine if it meets our return criteria.
  • Processing Time: Refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days after the return has been approved.
  • Method of Refund: Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the purchase.

7. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to process returns or refunds due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or other significant disruptions. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you and address any issues caused by such events.
