Formed hundreds of millions of years ago, the Karoo of South Africa is one of the great natural wonders of the world.
Camdeboo National Park provides the visitor with insights into the unique landscape and ecosystem of the Karoo, not to mention awesome scenic beauty.
Activities include nature trails, game viewing, bird watching with 250 bird species that have been recorded in the park, 4×4 trails, water-sports and the Valley of Desolation which is a premier tourist attraction in the region.
Day visitors are welcome and can make use of these various attractions and a number of picnic sites.
