Red dunes and scrub fade into infinity and herds of gemsbok, springbok, eland and blue wildebeest follow the seasons, camel thorn trees provide shade for black-mane lions and vantage points for leopard and many raptors…. this is the Kgalagadi Transforntier Park.
The Kalahari Gemsbok National Park in South Africa was proclaimed in 1931 mainly to protect game. There are three traditional camping sites, Nossob rest camp, Twee Rivieren and Mata-Mata, with barbecue facilities and communal ablution. Sites are without power supply.
There is a swimming pool available in Nossob, Twee Rivieren and Kalahari Tent Camp; night drives at Nossob and Twee Rivieren, with day walks at Nossob, Mata-Mata and Twee Rivieren.
